To the guy in the red truck pulling the trailer this morning on the I-5 in Albany. You are so cruel to have a dog in the bed of your truck this morning. The poor dog had ice all over his face and was in the back freaking out. It was 25 degrees and foggy and you are driving up the freeway with a dog in the back of your car. That poor doggy. If anybody knows who he is, please, please take that dog away from him. The dog is a brown larger dog. I am not sure what kind of dog it was because his face was covered in ice and I really couldn't tell.

The truck had stickers over it with the number of 541-753-5403. The man who was driving works for Work Unlimited in Corvallis, Oregon. The link is above. I hope this agency does NOT support animal cruelty and I hope they assist in confiscating that dog from the man who was driving.

Have you seen the guaranteed delivery by Christmas adds for HSN, QVC, and ShopNBC.com, I recently found out how that really works, shop NBC had that add, they charge you extra freight to expedite the gift, i bought it Dec 18th, giving them 6 days to get the product to our home in Oregon.
They sent it to the ups center on he 18th, now the catch, they kept the money and sent it ground service which put the package to our door Dec 29th for delivery date.
I caught the error by checking shipping status on ups tracking and saw what they had done. I called and emailed customer service for shopnbc.com, the person on the phone lied to me and said ups just adds extra days when things are so busy in shipping to be safe. I wrote my concerns to customer service via their email service and attached in the email the tracking information to show what they. The answer was we checked and you will not receive your package for christmas, we apologized and offered a shipping refund, i insisted on another item be sent out 2 days freight with Fed Ex if ups could notdeliver the in tiime, and they would not do it, and won;t respond to emails now.
In 32 years i have not had to put a IOU under the tree for my wife. Two smaller items one from HSN, the other Qvc were shipped on time as promised, SHOPNBC just does not care, it was just oh well, and they REFUSED to do the right thing and ship the another item out 2 day freight due to the error being THEIRS NOT UPS. UPS is delvering what they WERE PAID TO DO.
DON"T USE SHOP NBC< don't let them get to you by charging you for a service they don't give, and then cop a attitude rather than make it righ.

We still have a struggle ahead of us, but I once again have hope and faith that things will work out and we will be ok. For this I have to thank my Guardian Angels this Christmas for hearing my wishes and prayers. This time of the year becomes one of crazy shopping, busy schedules, and hectic times, and we tend to forget what is really important. I have been struggling to get through this Christmas. I am a single mom and I have a wonderful bright teenage boy. He is a great kid, never been in trouble and treats people kindly. Well he gave away a bunch of games and oks this Christmas to the Mission, he takes care of his things so they were like new. He was so kind to think of that. We always did before his Father and I divorced. I did my shopping for the rest of my family that we will spend Christmas, which is only my Mother, Oldest Son and Dughter in law and my one and only Grandchild age 5. Well after getting everyone else out of the way what I had left was for his gifts. Somewhere between the Bank, grocery store and Walmart I lost a one HUNDRED dollar Bill. EGADS, I've already been shorted every month for 6 months on our child support and that was for the fudge and to buy him some gifts, which he needed clothing terribly, his shoes have holes in the soles. I planned to get him some along with stuff from Old Navy since they are having a super sale. To top things off his father takes him usually a week before Christmas to spend a few day's and he got let down again and won't be going until after the holidays. He is a extremly large boy and is there for hard on his clothes. If anyone can Help me by donating a gift of shoes or clothing or any teen book, he loves to read, I would be so appreciative. I live in Three Lakes Estates in Albany. On Friday night my husband was bringing in Christmas gifts for our kids. When he went back out to get the rest, someone stole one of my son's gifts. I just couldn't believe that someone could do that, our neighborhood is usually really quiet. It was around 11 pm. I am hoping that maybe someone will see this and either they know who did it or they were the one.
All I want is for it to be returned to our doorstep, no questions asked.
It wasn't very exspensive, it was a 5 gallon aquariam setup. It had everything with it.
My husbands has to work 2 jobs and I also work at the hospital in Corvallis. We don't have a lot of money and are trying to make Christmas the best that we can for our kids. This was going to be his big gift from Santa.

Did you see the wreck? (99W and Circle Blvd.)

Sunday night, December 13th, at about 6:15 pm. I was going northbound on 99W in a gold Toyota Sienna minivan. A Honda Accord going westbound on circle ran the red light, and I hit them. Luckily no one in either car was hurt, and both cars were able to drive away. There was however, significant body damage to both cars, and I don't want to be left hanging. The other driver and myself exchanged information, and I have no reason to think the insurance companies will not work it out correctly. The only thing I am worried about is no police report was written, and I do not have any witnesses to verify my story. There was a great guy who saw everything and stopped to check on us, but I forgot to get his contact information.

Is there anyone out there who remembers this wreck and would be willing to make a statement for me?

This 1st annual fun run & walk takes place at the scenic Cheadle Lake Park in Lebanon on May 22nd. This year's proceeds will support Build Lebanon Trails, a group that is working to design and build more than 50 miles of hiking and walking trails around Lebanon, Oregon.

Directions
From I-5 N or I-5 S:

Take exit #228 for Corvallis-Lebanon/OR-34, head east on OR-34 towards Lebanon. Follow road to the left onto N 2nd St and then take the right onto S Main St/US-20 E (signs for US-20). After 1.5 mi., turn left at Russell Dr., which turns into River Dr. Follow Russell Dr / River Dr for 0.8 miles. Turn right into Cheadle Lake Park. Signs will be posted.

Entry Limit
This year's event is limited to 300 participants.

Entry Fees
$20 with Tech shirt or $15 without shirt, through Saturday, May 15. After May 15, registration is $25 with shirt, if available. Event shirts are only guaranteed if ordered by Saturday, May 15. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Course
The 5K course will be a mix of packed gravel and hard packed dirt on a relatively flat course with little change in elevation. The trail follows a loop that will take you by Cheadle Lake and through parts of Cheadle Park.

Merry Christmas to everyone. I am a single mom of 4 recently diagnosed with an auto-immune disease and it has been a bad year for me and my children. This year we lost everything and had to make a brand new start in a new place. We have all survived and actually got much closer during these hard times. I have managed to get things just about back to normal and am close to having all of our bills caught up, as my goal is to be able to start the new year with nothing behind...not having to worry if something is going to be shut off or having to choose which bills to pay. My Christmas Wish this year is to be able to do just that...get all the past due stuff paid off with utilities and rent and such, so 2010 can be a clean and new beginning for us. However, I am still a few hundred dollars away from that goal. So, I have been trying to think of ways to make my wish come true, and figured with the Holidays approaching, I might be able to help other busy people and reach my goal at the same time.

So, I am offering gift wrapping services. I owned a gift business years ago, so have plenty of experience. I have no idea what they charge for these types of services now, so I would be asking for donations. You provide the wrapping paper you would like, and I will wrap and decorate (ribbon, etc) the packages so they are ready to give or place under the tree. I know many people hate wrapping, so maybe this will be a way to help you and my family at the same time. Friends of the Lebanon Library Book Store (Lebanon, OR (Main/Tangent))

The Friends of the Lebanon Library Book Store is open daily from 8am to 3:30 pm... many books in gift-giving condition... great for the holiday gift or just for your personal reading!... we are located inside the Lebanon Senior Center (at the corner of Main and Tangent... at the first light as you enter town from Highway 20... turn right at the light and then immediately left into the parking lot)... we are using the old high school library just inside the building's front door and to your right... generously loaned to us by the Senior Center! They have a very friendly lady in the reception area that will take payment for your purchases.

Prices range from 25 cents (or 5 for $1) for regular size paperbacks. Adult hardbacks and larger trade editions are only $1. Children/Young Adult hardbacks and larger trade editions only cost 50 cents! Shelved special reference sets are only $5! Movies only 50 cents per vhs tape or dvd (ex: double dvd movies $1)... audio books only 25 cents per number of tapes in box or 50 cents per number of cds in box. We have 1000s of donated books (from gently read used books to look-new books to ex-library books) for you to purchase... a wide variety of subject matter from adults to children... both hardback and paperback and large trade editions... from fiction to non-fiction.

Please come in and look around. Books get added on a weekly basis as books are donated. All profits benefit the local library and reading programs... so each of your purchases will benefit the local community! We'd love to have you come in, look around... take your time... maybe have a sit for a short while to see if you want to purchase... and thanks in advance for supporting our local community volunteer group!

The Friends of the Lebanon Library (501c3) is a local volunteer group... the book donation and store is maintained by volunteers. If you would like to volunteer and/or join our group, give us a call... we'd love to have you as part of our group.

Dear Santa,

Thank you to the family who was able to share a warm coat and a few warm shirts to our children.
After I wrote the first dear santa letter on November 25th, my mom's van broke down and they had to put
out money to have it fixed. My mom and dad are not getting any help this year from DHS for the two foster
kids. Christmas is looking really slim this year for the three kids can you please share a extra toy or close any
thing would really help these kids have a great christmas. things have been kinda rough with having foster kids
and no extra funding I hope everyone has a merry christmas and god bless. Janelle

Parent Education-Communicating with your baby (Corvallis)

Hello everyone!

My name is Deanna Forgard. I'm an Independent Certified Instructor for the Baby Signs� Program. The Baby Signs� Program teaches parents and their babies how to communicate effectively using simple sign language. I currently have two classes that I am able to teach: the Parent Workshop and the Sign, Say & Play� Class.

The Parent Workshop is a 90-minute one-time workshop that is geared toward the parents. It teaches parents the history of the Baby Signs� Program and simple ways to make signing part of their daily routines.

The Sign, Say & Play� Class is a 6-week class that meets once a week for about 45 minutes, and allows parents and babies to attend and learn signs together. Each week covers a different topic (Mealtime, Bedtime, Bath Time, Getting Dressed, Pets, The Park) and families learn 6-7 signs related to the topic for that week, while participating in fun activities like puzzles and parachute games.

I know I am not the only one in this position. but I thought I would swallow my pride and reach out for help. I am a veteran with a 60 % disability with a family of 5 people. about 2 years ago we was buying our own house. we did not have a lot of money but we was surviving. so not to bore you with all the details, things went bad, rong, whatever word you want to use. anyway to make it short. we lost our house and ended up several thousand dollors behind on our bills. I am finaly back to work, with a part time job. I have been working on trying to catch up on my back bills, without useing bankruptcy. this christmas is hard on my family, as we have nothing for christmas. what I want to ask all of you people out there that may have been blessed with a little extra, is could you spare a little money to help my children have a christmas. if you are willing to help please reply to this add, and I will let you know where to send it. and please respond with the words Blessed For Christmas in your add so I know its not a bot.

Lacomb School Hunters Breakfast and Garage Sales (Lacomb Or)

On opening day of hunting season Saturday October 3rd, our school hosts a breakfast starting at 4:30am - 10:00am followed by garage sales in the area. This year their are 28 garage sales. The breakfast is $5 per person. This includes eggs, bisq and gravy, pancakes, sausage, coffee, and juice.
