Our pork is pasture raised and 100% free from any antibiotics or hormones. The pigs at Heritage Farms Northwest are given a natural life that allows them to just be pigs. They have 20 acre pastures to roam and graze in, lovely mud wallows to wade in, dirt to root around in and trees and shelters for shade. They are never confined and live in a small communal family group consisting of hogs of all ages. In addition to all the grass and clover they can eat, our pigs are also given a small amount of custom mixed grain to balance out their protein and vitamin needs as well as whatever other odds and ends of produce are in season (apples and pumpkins in the fall. for example)

1) The TWH mare is for personal pleasure/trail riding only. She's 16 years old and 15.3 hands, gaited. She has been ridden by riders of all ages and experience, but would do best with someone who is an advanced beginner or better. Ridden western. Well broke and finished.

2) QH mare, 13 yrs old, 15.2 hands. Name it and she's probably done it, except for english as I only ride western. WELL broke and finished. I've done reining patterns bridleless with her in the middle of the field. She's been to shows, mtns, beach, and lots more. She would be an excellent horse for any level of rider and would do AWESOME in 4-H. This is my "baby" so I will be particularly picky with her.

3) QH mare, 4 yrs old, about 15.3 hands. Training in western, knows basics, been cantered on, learning leg and weight commands quite well. She's never tried to buck, rear, take off, etc. My 3 yr old son has been on her since they were both babies. Took her on a trail/poker ride last year, bareback, with about 200-300 other riders and she did awesome, as if she was well experienced at it. Would make an excellent 4-H project or ??. She is a daughter to the older QH mare above.

I am not willing to part with both QH's at the same time as I need at least one trustworthy riding horse for my family (I have one other mare in training with issues and a yearling colt too, plus my mom's mare and yearling filly to work with). I have a young and growing family, so I will have limited time (and finances) with them this coming year. I use Clinton Anderson/Parelli training methods, along with some adjustments of my own as each horse is different. All of them have been owned by us since conception, so they're family. I am the only owner/trainer they have had and I know everything about them. They are all good around kids, dogs, other horses and animals; all load and trailer excellent. Well behaved and mannered.

Lease options include:
1) Horse stays at the current location. You come and use the horse as you normally would, but pay the cost for care and maintenance for the horse. Hay, grain, vaccinations, worming, (I do all of my own hoof care so you wouldn't need to worry about this, unless under specific circumstances), possibly bedding, etc. You wouldn't need to pay board and you don't need to be there am/pm to feed. (no arena but there are large fields to ride in; taking the horse off the property is also ok for road riding, shows, trail riding, etc. as long as I know where the horse went to)
2) Horse goes to a specific location of your choice, with my approval, and you provide ALL costs related to having a horse as if it were your own. I maintain rights to check up on the horse at my convenience.

I have leased horses before and have a contract that's pretty basic. I'm open minded and flexible to the right people. My contracts tend to go for one year with possible extension(s). None of the horses are for trade/sale at any time or to be used for breeding. Other details to be discussed prior to lease agreement.

Stari is a cute, cute, cute Icelandic pony. He is a spit fire of personality, and teddy bear affection. When broke out, he would be a wonderful kids pony. He was evaluated in the fall in Washington. He baths, ties, loads, and trailers. Good solid feet. Great A++++ personality.

Hirsla was shown in hand for ground trainer in 4-H in 2007 as a yearling. She is halter broke and comes easily.Likes to be around people she trusts and respects. She is an easy keeper, and ready to start under saddle in May. She was evaluated this fall in Washington, where it was determined she is naturally gaited, and would do well in UIHC shows. UTD on shots and farrier work. No shoes required, nice tough feet poplar with the breed.

Kometa is much loved Can be registered PtHA. She walk, trots, canters, and tolts. She has been a beloved trail champion in the same home for 10 years. The only reason why she is for sale, is because after 10 years of riding gaited Icelandic owner has switched to Quarter horses. Kometa trailers, stands for the farrier, great with fences and other horse, and a joy to be around. She is FAST so not for the faint of heart.Speed lovers will love her.
