Principal Albany Trail Hikers (PATH)If you live in the Linn-Benton (Albany-Corvallis) area and enjoy hiking and walking locally for fitness and fun then this is the group for you! |
Avery Park Loops Avery park should be nice this time of year with the flowers in bloom and I'm anxious to see what it looks like! We'll be walking the Avery Park loop one to three times; it's approximately 1 mile each time around the loop. I figure some folks will want to walk it once and some might want to stay for a few extra loops. Trailhead Location: Park is located at the end of southwest 15th street, from HWY 99 south or from HWY 20/34 west in Corvallis, OR. From the Corvallis downtown, take 4th street (one way heading south) and follow signs to Oregon Coast (HW 20/34), as you come up the off ramp, the first light is 15th, take a left into the park. You can also continue south on 4th going under the overpass and taking a right at the frist light (Crystal Lake Drive) which also runs right into the park. Park wherever there's room and let's meet at the rose garden area! You should be able to see the rose garden off to the left of the park entrance as you drive in. One of us will be holding up a meetup sign (it's red and white) so you can find the group.
