Long story and history on this lamp. The dog and duck part was made by a Linda in 1986, handpainted and fired as a hobbyist piece. Its life between then and last year when I bought it, I have no idea. I bought the shade, the electrical unit for the shade and bulb and a new base for it. The light bulb is a soft white LED bulb so doesnt get hot. The ceramic is as I bought it, not altered at all. Someone put a lot of love and time into that base. Its one of a kind.
