We bought a few each of several brands of one-size pocket diapers to test a few kinds before going all in on a favorite. Then ultimately we decided cloth diapering isn’t for us. (Basically after running the numbers, part-time cloth diapering doesn’t make sense for our household when daycare requires disposables, and we won’t come out ahead in either eco-friendliness or cost savings. Sigh.)
This set probably isn’t enough to do cloth diapering full time, but could get you at least halfway there, and lets you test a few mid/high-end brands to find your own favorite. (Ours was the Kinder, fwiw!)
All were purchased new in December 2025, directly from company websites. All told it was about $325. We tried them out over a few weeks when our baby was around 2 months old. I followed washing instructions from the manufacturers using Biokleen and Seventh Generation free and clear detergents. Our baby isn’t on solids yet, so she wasn’t very tough on these diapers. There is no staining or odor that I can detect.
Also includes two white Esembly Pail Pouches (big wet bags) for holding soiled diapers until laundry time. These were purchased from Amazon at about $30 each, and we used them without a pail, just hung up on a hook, alternating with one in the laundry while the other was in use.
