Surly Pack Rat - 50cm - custom build, front rack + extra fork

This is a not-too-common Surly Pack Rat, a super versatile commuting, touring, randonneuring, street- and gravel-ready bike designed to nimbly carry a front load. This bike can take lots of forms - it is currently in a cruising / commuting set up (1st photos), and the last two photos are of the more upright set up that I've had the bike in.

This bike is really fun to ride and is a nice balance between practical, comfortable hauling and nimble, enjoyable riding. The 26" wheels with 2" tires have great stability, quickness, and lots of strength. I routinely carried 20-30 pounds in the front basket, which the Pack Rat handled easily with speed, rough surfaces, quick turns, etc.

This is a 50cm frame, but the geometry of this bike feels a bit bigger. I am 5'11" and have loved this bike for commuting, but conceding that it is a bit small for comfort on longer rides that this bike is really built for.

The bike has 1x9 gearing, microshift friction shifter, Tektro rim brakes, Surly 24-pack rack, Planet Bike fenders, Planet Bike grips, Continental Town & Country tires, and an additional brand new matched Pack Rat fork (uncut). The bike has been used almost exclusively on-street as my commuter, and has been very well cared for with no chips/dings in the paint.

Current build (1st photo) + extra fork - $1150

If you are interested in the more upright set-up (last 2 photos) with Surly corner bars, Brooks B17 (or C17) saddle, leather top tube protector, Portland Design grips, extra fork - I would ask $1350 for that set-up.
