Selling our 2001 Chevy Tahoe LT that’s been in the family since new. It was my wife’s grandma’s first, then my brother-in-law’s, and now mine — so we know its whole history and it’s been cared for throughout.
Runs strong and has been super reliable. Great for hauling the family, camping trips, or just getting around in Oregon weather.
The good:
• 5.3L V8 (one of Chevy’s most reliable engines)
• 4WD with Auto mode
• Leather interior in nice shape (normal wear, no major tears)
• Sunroof
• Tow package
• Roof rack basket (Arksen)
• Power everything, heated seats, dual climate
• Clean title in hand
• 195,830 miles
Cons:
• A/C needs to be replaced (quoted around $800)
• Some cosmetic wear from age
• Heat is slow to warm up (started recently)
• Cracked windshield
• Driver side window rolls down but won't roll back up unless you turn off car
• Normal slight oil leak, valvoline said typical for age, but doesn't require extra oil changes or anything
• Service engine light on, mechanic said nothing major. Feel free to bring OBD reader
• Service 4wd light on
Great car with a well-respected reliable engine. It's old and imperfect, price reflects that.
