Rare classic 1972 Ford Custom 500, mostly original, runs and drives great, interior great, almost 150,000 miles. 351 Cleveland motor, auto trans, doesn't burn oil and no oil/trans leaks, using Amsoil 10/40 synthetic oil and non-ethanol premium. Gas gauge went out about 5 years ago and radio doesn't work. All other gauges and lights work. Has air conditioning and it works great. Replaced the starter last year and the spark plugs about 5 years ago otherwise has needed nothing but oil changes and has been a highly dependable classic. I'm the 3rd owner and have most of the documentation including the original window sticker. This may be one of the last if not the last remaining mostly stock 72 Custom 500 in the US, although similar to the Galaxie so most parts are readily available if needed. Could use a new vinyl top and some paint touchup but body and chrome are straight and there is very little rust anywhere. Has the original license plates and originally purchased from Wilson motors in Corvallis in 1972 so has been a local car since new. I'm asking $8000.00 or best offer.
