Position Summary: The role of our linen processing personnel is to clean, process, package and prepare equipment as specified by the company. This position requires many physical demands and stamina is required. There is a high degree of lifting and a significant degree of standing, walking, bending and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions. Must have a full range of motion and dexterity.
Clean and iron all linens as specified by manufacturer and company policy.
Ensure that linens are cleaned, packaged and restocked per company procedure.
Inspect and sort returned dirty linens per company process and policy.
Upholds the quality control standards of the company.
Follow all safety regulations and policies.
Maintain accurate counts of all laundry during both count in and count out procecures.
Log damaged and missing items per company procedures and timelines.
Assist in the pulling and prepping of orders
When cleaning equipment breaks, notify supervisor immediately.
Report safety violations to supervisor.
Communicate with supervisor.
Fill in for other positions, when necessary, for smooth operation of the business
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
Attend department, store and safety meetings.
Perform other duties as requested.
Daily use of washer, dryers and flatwork ironers, which release hot air, exposure to above average temperatures is prevalent.
Most work will be performed in a warehouse setting with limited exposure to outside elements, some work areas may not be heated or air conditioned.
May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited detergents, bleaches and other cleaning chemicals.
Standing for long periods of time.
Repetitive bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items.
