University Housing and Dining Services is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our dining leadership team as a General Manager of Dining. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position on the Oregon State University Corvallis campus.

The Position:
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and oversight of a dining center/unit for University Housing and Dining Services including promoting a healthy workplace culture, budget management, short- and long-term planning and menu/services development.

Responsibilities Include:
• responsible for the daily operational decisions of the assigned unit and developing programs based on business needs;
• plan, evaluate, and revise procedures and practices to ensure efficient, effective workflow and quality standards;
• interpret and ensure compliance with federal, state, local and University regulations;
• provide direct supervision and oversight of employees, including classified (unionized) and/or professional faculty and students;
• assist the leadership team to create and implement strategies, goals, staffing plans, and fiscal planning;
• provide leadership and coaching to ensure that performance expectations are met and customer satisfaction is ensured;
• work with the dining directors to develop annual budgets and to monitor and act on the monthly profit and loss reports;
• develop, implement, and provide mentoring and training opportunities for staff;
• establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers;

Required Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Five years of working in a large volume food service operation in a management capacity.
• Three years of supervisory experience in a management capacity in a large-scale food service operation.
• Demonstrated experience with menu development, sales growth, personnel management, food display & presentation, budget development, and fiscal management.
• Demonstrated ability to perform as a leader; coach, mentor, and motivate others; relate well to a team with widely varying backgrounds, perspectives, education, and skills.

The expected starting annual salary range is $65,000 - $72,000 plus benefits.
