First and second cutting teff hay in two tie bales (average 61 lbs a bale). Looks great, nice and green, first cutting cut before seed heads formed, second cutting after only a few seed heads formed, only on the ground three days before it was baled. NSC for the first cutting tested at 6.98 and protein at 12.97. Second cutting NSC is 9.38 an protein is 10.66.

Price for the first cutting is $360 a ton out of the barn (~$11 a bale), anything less than a half ton (16 bales) is $13 a bale.
Price for the second cutting is $325 a ton (~$10 a bale), anything less than a half ton (16 bales) is $12 a bale.
