SIRE: 2nd picture***Pete is 350 pounds, is an aggressive breeder with 100% success. Pete has been a great asset in our breeding program. His babies are born strong and are quick to stand and nurse. For such a big ram his babies are average weight, but grow big and fast! Wonderful conformation, temperament and hardy.
Will butcher out nicely or would make great breeding stock, if you are looking for these qualities in your lambs. I've been working hard to create good foragers that gain weight and the results are rewarding! With 60 lambs to choose from, finding the right one should not be a problem.
Katahdin are hardy, adaptable, low maintenance sheep that produce superior lamb crops and lean, meaty carcasses. They do not produce a fleece and therefore do not require shearing. They are medium-sized and efficient, bred for utility and for production in a variety of management systems. Great feet that require minimal trimming. Katahdins are also significantly tolerant of internal and external parasites and if managed carefully require only minimal parasite treatment.
