Custom Closed Loop Hydrocarbon Extractor (originally by Sweetleaf Extractors)
Description:
This is a fully functional closed-loop BHO extraction system originally built by Sweetleaf Extractors (who I believe are now out of business). It’s a versatile, modular setup that I’ve personally used for multiple types of extraction — butane, butane/propane blends, and even ethanol recovery and charcoal filtering. Super reliable, solid stainless build, and easy to modify for your workflow.
The setup includes:
2 lb column
1 lb cryo column
Solvent storage tank (left) + collection vessel (right)
Tons of extras: clamps, filter plates, multiple collection vessels
Vacuum pump (for initial pull-down)
TWO TRS-21 recovery pumps ($900 new)
Multiple LP tanks
All the hoses, valves, fittings, Y-splits, reducers, and adapters you could need
Tri-clamps galore — high pressure, low pressure, quick connect... if it fits stainless, I’m tossing it in. Proably around $1500-2k in stainless extras included.
This system can run passively (I used a sous vide + water bucket for heat), or you can recover via pump for quicker cycles. You can also easily rig it for CRC, if that’s your thing. Handles 10+ lbs per day no problem.
BONUS:
Add a 1.7cf vacuum oven for $1,000 extra — great for post-processing.
This system has served me well, but I’m moving away from butane extraction at this scale, and I’d rather see it in action than sitting in storage.
