Native shrub to Oregon, often found along the coast and in forests, with edible, dark blue fruit that can be used for pies, jams, and preserves.
It thrives in acidic, well-draining soil and can grow in sun or shade, though it produces more fruit in sunnier locations. New spring foliage has a reddish hue before maturing to a shiny, dark green, and the plant is also valued for its ornamental qualities.
$15 each, in one gallon pots. Currently 12-18 inches tall.
Fall is a great time to get these in the ground!
Located in Monroe, but able to meet in Corvallis/Albany or Junction city on my way home from work most mornings.
