Soay Sheep (RBST) (Waldport)

Soay sheep are very hardy and require little care. Ewes almost always lamb without any assistance. This heritage breed from Scotland is well-suited to small farms and the Pacific Northwest, and is free of many of the diseases and parasites that affect commercial flocks. They shed their coats naturally and do not need shearing. Best of all, they will happily forage on the young leaves of blackberries, asa well as other undesirable weeds.

The first photo is a group portrait (no, they don't usually pose so nicely!).The next 2 photos are the rams I have available. Photo #4 shows some wethers. The last 2 photos are some of the ewe lambs.
