We are looking for a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team. We are a ~15-20 stallboarding barn located in Corvallis. This position involves caring for our horses, along with various chores to help keep the facility clean and functional.
Responsibilities:
• Daily care and feeding of horses (hay and grain), filling and scrubbing water buckets
• Turnout and bringing horses in (weather dependent), blanketing as needed or requested by owners
• Mucking stalls and cleaning paddocks (for full-care horses)
• Monitoring horse health and wellbeing, and promptly reporting concerns to the owner or veterinarian
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the barn, arena, round pen, and surrounding areas
Qualifications:
• Experience with caring and handling horses
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Physically fit and capable of lifting hay bales, grain bags, walking on uneven ground and hills, mucking stalls, and performing other physically demanding tasks
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for horses
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
• Positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic
This is a part-time position (up to approximately 70 hours per month). Shift times are flexible (3 - 6 hours) and may vary. Position is available immediately.
