Are you a student or have a child who is struggling in school? I pair students with assistive technology (AT) that will lift them up in their studies. Schedule a free 20 minute consultation to learn how assistive technology helps you gain access to learning, prove to your teachers what you know, improves your self-esteem and increases motivation. More specifically, AT research shows it can increase reading fluency and comprehension. In writing, AT can help you compose more organized thoughts and a lengthier assignment. The end result is a grammatically correct document. These are just a few educational highlights.

I have a master’s in education by joining special education and education technology. My thesis was specifically on evaluating individuals who struggle in reading and writing for assistive technology. Whether you have an identified learning exceptionality or just struggle, I can help you. I work with reading difficulties (dyslexia), writing difficulties (both fine motor and expressive), ADHD/ADD, executive function, slow processing disorder, auditory processing disorder, difficulty in math, ESL/ELL, and dyspraxia (fine motor).
After an informal written questionnaire and reading through any formal evaluations, I will put together a document to present and demonstrate to you what low- or high-tech options are available. I will then sit down with you and your child to train all of you on each chosen tech tool. This can take several visits depending on the tool and the student. Follow up calls will be provided to ensure the student is benefitting from the tech tool.
