We are seeking a compassionate, adaptable Program Support Specialist to provide individual and group support to adults with developmental disabilities across several programs. This role blends 1:1 support, group program facilitation, employment support, and care coordination/documentation.
This is a people-centered position for someone who enjoys variety, relationship-building, and supporting individuals to live full, self-directed lives.
Core Responsibilities:
1:1 Direct Support (Supported Living & Community Support):
- Provide individualized support to participants in homes and in the community
- Assist with daily living activities, errands, appointments, transportation, recreation, and social opportunities
- Support health, safety, independence, and personal goals
- Availability for some evenings and weekends is required
Group Programs & Classes:
- Serve as an instructor or assistant instructor for group classes and activities
- Programs include art, music, movement/exercise, games, crafts, life skills, and relationship skills, and more
- Help create inclusive, welcoming, and engaging learning environments
Employment & Job Coaching Support:
- Support participants in exploring, obtaining, and maintaining employment
- Provide on-the-job coaching, skill development, and employer coordination as needed
- Encourage workplace success, self-advocacy, and independence
Documentation & Coordination:
- Complete daily service documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain comprehensive participant files
- Coordinate with county case managers, families, other DD providers, and support staff as needed
- Communicate clearly and professionally across all forms of communication

- Ability to balance relationship-based work with documentation requirements
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and follow state and county requirements
Required:
- Two years of experience in developmental disabilities, education, social services, or related fields
- Experience with direct support, job coaching, and group facilitation
- Experience with and ability to use basic software programs such as Microsoft Office
- Google Suite
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport participants in personal vehicle
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in human development, or related field
