ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Processing incoming cash and coding to appropriate funds.
• Provide outstanding customer service including telephone reception, email interactions and greeting customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Operate reservation system to book reservations, process changes to reservations and cancel reservations.
• Respond to a variety of inquiries regarding Linn County Parks.
• Coordinate with office and field staff to provide the most accurate information to park visitors.
• Maintain regular and predictable work attendance, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
• Other clerical functions as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Exceptional organization & prioritization skills, attention to detail, initiative & ability to learn quickly.
• Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate a computer and 10-key calculator proficiently.
• Must be able to effectively communicate, in positive and professional manner, with management, park rangers,
co-workers and visitors.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the Linn County Parks system is preferred but not required.
• Graduation from a senior high school or have GED
• Possession of a valid Class C motor vehicle operator’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Must pass a criminal history background check.
SALARY, BENEFITS, HOW TO APPLY
• SALARY RANGE: $16.50 Per Hour
• BENEFITS
o Sick accrual at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked.
• CLOSING DATE: April 8, 2026, or until filled.
• DURATION: Up to six months dependent on the needs of the department.
