Two current female tenants in their 20s and 30s are looking for a third roommate. We prefer a student or professional who values a quiet, cozy place and has strong communication skills.
Available as soon as Nov. 15
About the house: A cozy, older bungalow with 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, front porch, ample storage, fruit trees and a large garden plot in the backyard.
Rent price: $600 for a large-upstairs attic room and use of the rest of the house and yard. One tenant spends most of their time at their partner's house so the house will most often have only two people there.
The bedroom will be unfurnished. Right now the living room and dining room are sparsely furnished with just some basics. There is room to decorate these spaces too.
Landlords are wonderful and responsive.
Lease: Dec. 1 (or whenever is convenient) to end of June 2026, with the likely opportunity to renew next year.
Utilities: Split-usually $50-100 a month depending on time of year.
About the neighborhood: Safe, beautiful neighborhood right off of bike path, near boardwalks and golf course.
Biking distance to OSU (about 12 min bike ride) and close to Safeway. Near bus stops.
About the yard/garden:
1-acre yard. There was previously a volunteer-run vegetable garden in the back. The landlord does the major yard work but 30 minutes to an hour of yard work/week may be necessary from time to time.
The current tenants are a busy graduate student and postdoc, but if someone has an interest in gardening, this would be a great space to do this.
About the 2 current housemates:
Female graduate student and postdoc in 20s and 30s. Grad student is in the food science department. Postdoc at OSU studying plants and microbes. Graduate student enjoys reading, going out for a walk and drinking coffee. Postdoc enjoys watercolor, running, hiking, and reading.
