Purchased during the pandemic thinking we would use it for hiking--but that never happened.
Straps are well padded as is the area that will rest on your back.
If carrying a heavy load, there is a strap that goes across the chest to take the load off of the shoulders.
Approximate dimensions when flat: 19" long x 14" wide. Depth can expand to 8" or so.
I live in North Albany but I am in Corvallis almost every day.
