Beaudin Construction is seeking a high-performing, authoritative Senior Superintendent to serve as the primary field executive for our most complex multi-family and commercial developments in the Portland metro area. In this senior leadership role, you are not just a manager; you are the onsite visionary responsible for the total lifecycle of high-stakes builds.
You will command all onsite operations, bridging the gap between high-level architectural design and elite physical execution. We are looking for a veteran builder who thrives on autonomy, commands respect from subcontractors, and possesses the strategic mindset to deliver multimillion-dollar projects with absolute precision.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be the ultimate authority onsite, driving field strategy and operational excellence to ensure projects exceed quality, safety, and budgetary benchmarks:
Strategic Site Leadership: Command all daily onsite operations. Orchestrate field staff, massive subcontractor teams, and complex supply chains to ensure elite-quality work and peak productivity.
Master Scheduling & Logistics: Own the project schedule. Develop and enforce aggressive 3-week lookaheads and master milestones. Optimize material staging, site logistics, and heavy equipment deployment.
High-Level Project Control: Direct the RFI and Change Order process from the field. Collaborate with Project Managers to proactively resolve design conflicts and technical obstacles before they impact the critical path.
Total Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Implement and oversee a rigorous Total Quality Control program to eliminate rework and ensure a "zero-punch" handover to ownership.
Safety Culture & Compliance: Serve as the chief safety officer onsite. Cultivate a proactive safety culture, ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA, local codes, and internal safety protocols.
Inspections & Commissioning: Lead all critical site inspections (Structural, Building, Fire Marshal, etc.) and manage the seamless commissioning and closeout of complex multi-family systems.
Executive Communication: Act as the face of the project to clients, developers, and municipal officials, fostering professional partnerships that build Beaudin’s elite reputation.
What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in commercial or multi-family construction, with at least 5 years in a lead Superintendent capacity. A track record of successfully delivering ground-up projects valued at $20M+.
Technical Mastery: Expert-level ability to interpret complex structural plans, MEP drawings, and technical specifications. Deep understanding of Portland-metro building codes.
Software Proficiency: Power-user experience with modern construction platforms (Procore, Bluebeam, Jonas Premier, or equivalent). Advanced proficiency in MS Project for critical path scheduling.
Command Presence: Exceptional leadership and the "grit" to hold subcontractors accountable while maintaining a professional, collaborative job site.
Organizational Authority: Elite organizational skills with a rigorous attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management.
Mobility: Ability to be onsite daily across the region and coordinate high-stakes tasks across multiple project phases.
