GHK Logistics is currently seeking a Container Truck Driver to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a truck and 53' trailer with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).
Responsibilities Include:
-Safely operate a heavy haul tractor-trailer truck
-Transport containers from shipper to port and back
-Properly track and document activity log
-Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
-Properly perform pre and post trip inspections
-Ability to problem solve and think outside the box
-Ability to complete dispatches on time and without incident
-Must be dependable and work when scheduled
-Read and write English
-Communicate Effectively
-Team Player
-Able to drive 14 hours a day without the need to stop and nap
-Must be physically capable of walking moderate distances
-Must be physically capable of opening and closing heavy container doors
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 3 years verifiable truck driving experience with clean MVR and no DUII's
-Commercial Oregon driver's license
-TWIC Card
-Current DOT Physical
-Ability to handle physical workload
-Strong work ethic
-Port experience a plus but will train the right person
-Ability to make sound decisions
-Pay DOE
