A crooked security guard for the market of choice complex was harassing the people that have to park on the street. At 11:30 pm on spruce st the small silver car driving slowly the full length of the road with extremely bright white and yellow overhead strobe lights flashing, turned around and drove back the full length through before turning into the shopping center. Again at 1am.
According to the dispatcher there is not an actionable content in that statement, it is a public road!
When asked for her name she refused.
So many times a dispatcher has told me there is no violation and every time the law has stated plainly that it is.
Look it up before you call or they will blow you off.
It is against the law to run flashing lights on a public road unless you are warning of a direct hazard. The only hazard was the warped brain of the security guard that thinks he can harass people with his tin badge. Someone drives by your house flashing strobe lights through your windows in the middle of the night.
How many times, before you jump up and ask for an explanation, at least!
The fact he was on a public street violates any authority he thinks he has and is directly a "hate crime" as well if he continues he may get a first hand version of constitutional rights explained to him on the pavement.
General Prohibition: Except for hazard lights and turn signals, vehicles that are not authorized emergency vehicles cannot display flashing lights.
If it flashes, strobes, or oscillates, it is generally considered illegal equipment and can result in Class C traffic offenses.
Another brain dead hatemonger in an old 4-runner drove the length of spruce leaning on his horn then turned around and drove back through the same way.
Several people have tried the same thing
and ended up being chased down.
Anyone that is stupid enough to try it should be aware of how close to the edge these people are being harassed by police, residents, criminals, and a list of ridiculous uninformed people. Their badges give them some protection everyone else is putting their life on the line messing with them. You don't know how sane they were before what they are dealing with now and could get you hurt.
